I like to start this post by thanking God.
First for everything in my life, the good and the bad. Some are a blessing and some are a lesson. I am also grateful for the strength to keep going and the opportunity to have documented this love story.
This engagement shoot took us to the coast,we like to take it as a ‘Lil’ mini adventure. We made the trip down to the south coast where we were hosted by the lovely couple at their home in Diani.
Lilian (who is Kenyan) and Cherif (who is from Guinea), studied Medicine in the same university,in Germany.
“Nine years ago, Cherif asked me to join him for Christmas and New years eve in Paris, and i thought he was just like any West African guy who wanted to impress me.” Lilian. We sat well by the balcony of “Villa Madinina ” to hear about how they met and the beautiful experience they have had together…
From that day on it has been an adventurous journey for them, from their eloquence in different languages (German,French,English) you can tell that they are well traveled. So, after years of dating, he decided to make things official. We planned for the shoot for a while with Lilian, and agreed that we would do it when they flew in the country.
I can’t do justice to their story let me let the pictures speak for themselves.
Their willingness and gusto to do what we requested was very much appreciated. The greatest thing you’ll ever learn is to love and be loved in return. They are incredibly kind, hilarious and very beautiful together, we laughed and enjoyed each others company the entire time. A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person.
what a happy and playful couple :-))) The coastline around our beautiful country is simply incredible. Its the perfect place for creativity and exploring with a camera, then throwing in a gorgeous couple like Lilian and Cherif… Just makes me happy.
Thank you for the opportunity and for great friendship.Congratulations on finding each other, wishing you an eternity of love and happiness together. God bless your unity. Can’t wait to share their wedding pictures that was still in Diani.
